The Gonstead Difference!
What is a Structural Shift?
When it comes to structure, no one is truly perfect. But, like all other aspects of our health there is a normal range. If I were to ask you what a normal blood pressure is you might say 120/80. Most people don’t exactly realize what that means, but they understand that value is “normal“. There are many other “normal” values in healthcare. For example, body temperature, heart rate, and eyesight all have healthy ranges. That being said, there will always be variations based on ones age or health condition.
At Thrive Chiropractic we are looking for a multi-dimensional shift of the spine away from normal. If the spine is shifted in one region, another region will compensate and therefore cause the entire spine to move out of proper alignment. No different than your car tires deteriorating because the suspension is out of an alignment. These shifts can cause muscles to spasm, ligaments to deform and most importantly, they can influence the nervous system.
